FISHING ONLY ALLOWED FROM APRIL 1 TO SEPTEMBER 30 EACH YEAR.
The fishing area extends from Lia to the mouth of Ätran and fishing is possible on three different routes:
Area Nydala: Only fly fishing is allowed downstream of the Nydala mill. Spinning and fishing are prohibited on this route. All fishing methods are allowed upstream of the Nydala mill. All fishing is prohibited on the pier after 1/8. See border drawing on map.
Area Kogstorp: Fishing is allowed between the power line 500 m upstream wooden bridge to 100 m north stone bridge at Boarp. Short fishing only allowed on the western side of the river. See border drawing on map.
Area Ullared: Fishing is allowed between the Road Bridge in Ullared (road 154) and up to where the forest begins south of Barkhult. See border drawing on map.

Högvadsån's Lower Fishing Area Association has today made a decision on mandatory release for all caught salmon on all routes. The reason is that the migration of spawning fish is far too small, which can affect regrowth. The same decision has been made in club water, Ätran's lower fishery management area and Falkenberg's salmon fishery and thus covers the main salmon-bearing parts in their entirety. The decision applies from 7/5 until further notice, but is continuously reassessed every 14 days. Fishing is allowed if Catch & Release is applied.

Högvadsåns Nedre FVOF offers free fishing for young anglers. Please read and following the general fishing rules that apply for the area. Rules specifically for children and adolescents: Free fishing for children and adolescents up to the age of 17. Only in company with a keeper / adult / person who holds a valid fishing license (on his quota)
